And this has never been more important.<\/p>\n<p>In a poll taken last November,\u00a0<a class=\"color-link\" title=\"https:\/\/www.edelman.com\/trust\/2022-trust-barometer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.edelman.com\/trust\/2022-trust-barometer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/www.edelman.com\/trust\/2022-trust-barometer\" aria-label=\"77% of Americans\">77% of Americans<\/a>\u00a0said they consider their employer the most trusted institution in their lives &#8211; ahead of the government and media sources.\u00a0<a class=\"color-link\" title=\"https:\/\/csic.georgetown.edu\/magazine\/corporate-social-responsibility-matters-ignore-millennials-peril\/\" href=\"https:\/\/csic.georgetown.edu\/magazine\/corporate-social-responsibility-matters-ignore-millennials-peril\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/csic.georgetown.edu\/magazine\/corporate-social-responsibility-matters-ignore-millennials-peril\/\" aria-label=\"Consumers are prioritizing socially responsible businesses\">Consumers are prioritizing socially responsible businesses<\/a>. The upshot: Corporate America has an unprecedented opportunity to support civic engagement in the United States.
